#1 HANGING BRIDGES
We leave early aiming to be at the Mistico park before it gets busy. Here we start our hike over the 3km of trails and 20+ brid- ges. These long and high structures get you at eye level with the parks abundant flora and fauna. Equiped with a telescope your guide is at your side to spot wildlife and share facts about the intruiging ecosystem. Apart from bridges in the jungle there are those that offer impressive panoramic views of the Arenal volcano and lake. Don’t miss out on this amazing nature experience.
#2 VOLCANO JUNGLE AND LAVA HIKE
Explore this beautiful park located right at the foot of the Arenal volendo ogether with your guide you hike a trail that takes you through lush primary rainforest. Under the huge trees you can spot a variety of Birds, Monkeys, Coati, Sloth and amfibious ani- mals. Leaving the forest we reach the fields of lava deposited by the huge 1968 eruption. Going up a rocky staircase we reach a high viewpoint. You see: lava fields, lake Arenal, the surrounding forest, the northern Valley and most importantly you are as close as permited to the cone of the immense Arenal volcano.
This tour can be done separately am or pm or in a combination deal.
#3 WATERFALL HIKE
Arriving at the Mundo Aventura park we take a bumpy tractor cart ride to get to a spectaculair viewpoint. Having seen our destination in the distance we’ll go on our way. An adventurous trail, including a high and narrow hanging bridge, leads you all the way down to the pool of the waterfall.
Here you’ll have time to take a dive and/or relax in the refreshing spray of the water that drops an impressive 200ft. Next stop is the village of the Maleku Indians where you get an introduction to their history and culture.
#4 LUNCH
To replenish your energy most tours include a typical style lunch. Choose from a variety of options. There a different types of meat or you can choose a vegetarian or vegan dish. #5 HOTSPRINGS
After a day of physical activity you deserve some relaxation. In these thermal pools at the foot of the volcano you can get just that. With mineral rich hot water taken from the underground river, these baths are a real treat. In the hour that we stay there you can chill out or take the opportunity to share experiences with fellow travelers. To add to the enjoyment we include a typical style cocktail or a refreshing soda. This hots- prings experience is included in most tours without additional cost.
